Reserved an item online at this store as it was the only store that had it in stock, I picked up the item no problem, when I got home and unpacked it, one quarter of the item was missing completely and the other three quarters of it were damaged in one way or another, it's going straight back tomorrow for a refund.
Useless and incompetent staff members, I was told my item was in store and received no notification and staff have no idea if they deal with eBay click and collect orders. I was told someone called ABID signed my delivery and yet no response from staff members. They wouldn't even brother checking the back when I was there because apparently it's not there.
Came here about 2/3 years ago. Brought the Samsung Galaxy S5. Very Naively accepted the display model and apparently a note was made on my receipt. The phone had issues a week later. Took into the store and the manager basically kicked me out without listening. The store manager at the time was a big black guy, very intimidating. Never will use Argos again and wish I made a bigger deal of it at the time but I guess the manager was aware I was young so thought he could take advantage. How can people like this be working in a customer service role?
This shop has probably the worst customer service ever - literally no coherence at all. I went to return something, and they tested it and told me to come back with a reference number from the actual company. I did that, then was told to come back at a time the company's customer service lines were open so that they could check since it was after 5, which fair enough, is okay. But then when I came back the next day, they just completely discarded that whole "reference number" excuse, and the manager said I couldn't return it because she could wanted more proof. Then she said she'd give me in-store credit instead, and they apologised because apparently rules on returns are now "stricter". Honestly, I wouldn't recommend getting anything expensive from here, they're completely unhelpful and useless on helping you with faults and just make you run around for no reason.
It's ok. Pretty good service on the whole and the staff are polite enough. It's also a spacious store and there's plenty of parking. One thing they could improve on is packaging. I got a desk in a box and it was extremely heavy. Suggest they design packaging with handles so it would be much easier to carry.
